1. Poodle
Beginning with the pups who are top togs for the elderly owner. Poodles, whether standard, miniature, or toy, possess all of the characteristics required to make an excellent companion dog. They are extremely intelligent and loving, easy to train, only require one daily walk, and only require grooming once a month.
2. Maltese
Maltese are one of the smallest breeds, but they are also one of the most empathetic pets and are frequently used as therapy dogs. They require very little outdoor exercise, and even brushing them on a daily basis can be quite therapeutic and relaxing.
3. Greyhound Lines
Greyhounds are gentle and affectionate dogs who make excellent senior companions. Adopting one of the many adult Greyhounds looking for a new home can also eliminate the need to deal with a boisterous and untrained puppy.
4. King Charles Cavalier Spaniel
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel requires more grooming than other small dog breeds, but they are quiet, intelligent, easy to train, and never happier than when snuggled up in your lap.
5. Boston Terrier
Boston Terriers are completely devoted to their owners, whom they enjoy sitting quietly beside for extended periods of time. Because of their short coat, they require little grooming and are generally easy to care for.
